Rafaela McEachin was born to two beautiful disciples, Hilda and James McEachin, in June of 1963. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Rafaela attended New York City public schools and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School where she studied music, dance and drama.
While in high school, Rafaela attended Alvin Ailey Dance Theater/ Little Theater School. Additionally, she was a member of a national choir, and performed in Off-Broadway shows such as Indigo Roses, and West Side Story. Later, Rafaela went on to attend Shenandoah College in Winchester, VA where she attained her Associates degree in Business and Theater.
After returning to New York, Rafaela decided to launch Barbour Entertainment Management Company which successfully allowed her to interact in the music business beginning in 1994. Artists on her label included Foe Scissor Hands, Mitch Madlock, and Ruff, Rugged & Real. Rafaela also went on to open up her very own beauty salon called Mrs. B’s Hair Palace. Although Rafaela had a full-time job and owned two businesses, she still managed to keep up with her acting career. In 2005, she landed a spot in an episode of one of NBC’s top rated shows, Law & Order SVU. In the midst of GOD changing her life and setting her off on new ventures, Rafaela decided to move to Rochester, NY where she completed and released the first book of her testimonies, “The Many Hats of a Woman, in 2008.
Rafaela then attended Virginia College online where she is pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration while continuously embracing fellowship at Church of Love Ministry. Unfortunately, in 2010 she found herself jobless but did not lose focus of her prize, GOD. After much thought and prayer, she decided to step out on faith and is now the CEO of My Father’s House Records, LLC.
Fans were on the lookout for Rafaela’s second book called, Living in a Glass House, due to release in 2013, but testimonial books are so hard to write because it takes so much to get back to a place you don’t want to re-visit. Although Living in a Glass House’s release date was postponed, it has now been released in September 2019!!!
Thank you Father for allowing me to release my second testimony; the glory goes to GOD!!!
